I don't like hentai very much. I admit I've read some hentai material and seen a few pictures, but they disgusted me. I 'm not saying it should be banned, but there should be a stronger filter to protect children from seeing it. After all, there are too many people who love hentai, therefore banning it is an impossible dream. The worst thing is when people see animation, 'cartoons', they automatcally assume it's for children. How would you explain what those two cartoon characters are doing in the bed? You can't really say sex is bad until you have sex yourself. It isn't filthy and dirty like some religious groups want you to think, but a display of love that goes beyond the mortal coil. Hi. I've have a few friends that love hentai and I have some who hate it. I personally don't mind it. I do agree with yor argument on how they should have warnings on links the contain hentai. My question to you is are you against anime that contain non-sexual nudity. For example in Rama 1/2 when the girls go to the bath house they may take off thier clothes. I don't like hentai very much. I admit I've read some hentai material and seen a few pictures, but they disgusted me. I 'm not saying it should be banned, but there should be a stronger filter to protect children from seeing it. After all, there are too many people who love hentai, therefore banning it is an impossible dream. The worst thing is when people see animation, 'cartoons', they automatcally assume it's for children. How would you explain what those two cartoon characters are doing in the bed? You can't really say sex is bad until you have sex yourself. It isn't filthy and dirty like some religious groups want you to think, but a display of love that goes beyond the mortal coil. Porn however makes sex seem like a game you play to satisfy your own urges. Women are treated like dirt, and sometimes men too. It's mankind at it's most primitive. And if you can't afford watching real people having sex, watch animated characters go at it! It's a sick, sad world.

I was thinking of adding a series of screencaps of the Gynoid (sexodroid) as she commits suicide (the first five minutes) She rips open her chest and then the head opens to reveal the mechanical skull. I guess it is not as horrific as if it was a human girl but it's very symbolic because even though no real child is being used as a sex slave, her ghost is one of a real child who cannot cope with being a slave as a doll/gynoid.

hmm, i like this site. I will admit that i watch hentai on occasion, but i also agree that a much stronger and more obvious demarcation line between it and normal anime is in order. The spread of hentai on the internet iswidespread and incredibly annoying. Add in potential exposure to minors and there it is. Can I just add my appreciation for what J said below. I hope that atheists will not flame me for saying that, but it is true that everyone is equal in the sight of God. We all sin, and compared to him even our purest actions are dirty. It doesn't mean we should stop being the people we are, but I was always a believer in the phrase, "judge lest ye be judged". The only person's actions you're responsible for are your own, and you don't have to answer for anyone else's. The most important things here are respect and tolerance, whether you like hentai or loathe it. OK, the main thing out the way first and that is that I do like hentai/ecchi. However I must say that I agree with your views when it comes to certain types of hentai. Rape and child porn are wrong whether animated or not and I do think that hentai webmasters who label it as 'lolicon' are just looking to bring in money. Generally I cite the friendliness of the community as one of my favourite things about hentai but I know that this doesn't ring true all the time. I understand what you say about hentai giving anime fans a bad name. I have encountered those problems myself and have been stereotyped as a result. I also agree that hentai be put under the same restrictions as regular porn and I find that this is a common view amongst webmasters. However I didn't know the differences between ecchi and hentai. I always assumed that the 2 were the same thing as no-one had ever led me to believe otherwise. Having read the about page I notice that what you want as a group is in fact perfectly reasonable. I can't join fully due to my own views and my site's link list but I will support the site on the site.

Since you defined the difference (of hentai and ecchi), I agree. That weird hentai sucks! It's disgusting, but not for reasons you might think. I'm kind of relieved that at least there are some people who realize how bad hentai really is. It's basically the rape of fictional characters. If someone thinks it's not a big deal BECAUSE they're fantasy characters, then how far are they really from thinking it wouldn't be a big deal for real people? Rape is the worst thing anyone can do to another person. To get enjoyment out of images of it is sick, regardless of whether it's 'real' or not. Please read the about section: hentai is not sexual art, hentai is perverted sexual art. "Nice" normal even slightly kinky sex is ecchi. Hentai is the rape, tentacles, scat, mechanical dick kind of sex. You need to do your homework better. "Hentai" and "Ecchi" are the SAME THING. "Ecchi" means "H" in Japanese, short for HENTAI. And not all doujinshi is "Hentai". Some are completely non-sexual! Your associating doujinshi with "hentai" is NOT acceptable. There are many, many Japanese and American artists that draw Doujinshi for ALL ages. I also have to say, your "deffinition" of doujinshi is vague at best, and terribly misleading to people. Doujinshi, by deffinition, are fan-drawn comics, and have no official offiliation with the companies that own whatever fandom your doujinshi happens to come from. While there are LOTs of sexually explicit doujins out there, not all of them are pornagraphical, and I would appriciate you retracting such a comment. And your plea for disassociating "hentai" with anime and manga? I'm sorry, but it's never going to happen. Hentai is a Japanese term for ideas, films, and material that is considered for adults. So any adult anime/manga out there is to be labeled as Hentai. You have no control over that. That's like saying, "I don't want Mahou Shoujo to be associated with anime because I hate that genre!!" It's just impossible. It won't happen. It's a valid genre, and it's here to stay. You must remember, Japan is one of THE MOST sexually repressed nations in the world. It's taboo for people to even hug or kiss in public! So of course, their porn might seem a big extreme for you. But it's not all like that. You make it sound like every piece of hentai out there is full of tenticle-rape and child molestation! There are actually many many sweet and cute series out there that deal with love and feelings. My stance, seems to pre simeler to AHC's: Hentai is not, in itself, bad. What IS bad is how you can't do a google search for anime/manga without geting over 50 percent of results being it. People who want it have every right to it, but I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT, SO GET IT THE HECK INTO THE ROOMS WITH CLOSED DOORS! Ok. This is how I see it. This clique is a good way for young ppl and older ppl who don't want to see that kind of stuff in sites or anime, to find sites that don't have it in there. They can go through the list of members here, and find a site that they don't have to worry whether it's gonna be filled with the stuff that seems to be everywhere in the real world. They can just enjoy anime that they don't find offensive, becasue this clique provides a way for them to do that. Now, if your somebody who *does* enjoy that sort of thing, then...well...you don't really need to be here. It's not rocket science. Everyone has a different p.o.v. and everyone has different likes/dislikes. And everyone has their own opions. You should respect the opinions of others. You don't have to agree, but it's nice to respect. *Personally*, I think that hentai and lolicon are just wrong. When I watch anime, I do it for an escape from the scares of the real world. Not to delve further into it. (And remember ppl, I have a right to my opion too.) So any self respecting person can see that this a respectable thing that this site is doing to keep all this porn/rape/lolicon out of children's lives. (And don't argue with me on that. I guess it is very different this time as the theme is the alternative to hentai: the opposite of perversion - sex and bodies as beautiful things. I'm the first to admit the the first anti-hentai site was naïf (rainbows and pink pixels honestly!!! =p), it was by choice: at that time, AHC was attached to a CCSakura site with a very young audience and eventhough the clique was born from personal anger, it didn't reflect it's owner in any way - it was just functional. As time went on, I dared to get more personal with this site, made it a standalone website and made layouts to express it's purpose. If anything, I find this layout less dark and more appeasing than the three previous, which dealt with child abuse and non consent. The first real layout was Fading Star: Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar's scared eyes and the lighting as if it was coming from an opening door and lyrics from Coldplay's Amsterdam which is real dark if you know what they are talking about. The second was Unconsenting Eyes: blood red and dark green with a horrified womans eyes and a kids handwriting. I remember, my Mom went and visited my websites a few days after I had put it up and was real shocked and worried by that image (I got interrogated about my childhood =p) and I got a few shellshocked emails by people saying it was "so scary" too.So I guess that one hit home.

Actually the age of consent in Japan varies from 16 to 18 see www.ageofconsent.com depending on the prefecture. I don't know why people now want to make the Japanese into pedophiles. I've found my way onto a lot of anime BBS forums, and I notice this topic causes some controversy. You'd be suprised who defends hentai and who refuses it, its quite a war. As for yaoi and yuri (aka, homo fan fiction), I can defend that on the back of its age. It was there right at the start of Japanese comics, actually pre-dating Western gay porn. Usually it doesn't even involve hentai or any sex scenes of any description. (Amusingly, I just saw a terrible yaoi fanfic of what some terrible Japanese woman would like to do to my favouirte 14-year-old boy Shinji Ikari. I won't add a link, but this girl has issues!) In closing, I would oppose hentai from an artistic prespective. Well done, great site. I've been harping anti-hentai for years now. Hentai is not just erotica - it's domination and abuse of innocence. Hentai characters are usually raped. Hentai characters themselves are usually underage (even if the disclaimer on most games says not) it doesn't take a Harvard degree in anatomy to see that a character is a child. Many hentai fans are closet pedophiles who are in denial. The other thing which is laughable is that hentai defenders would never stand up in the real world with a copy of their 'art' - say a picture of Sakura (CCS) being raped by her brother and say that they regularly enjoy that material. Hentai with anime children is just plainly wrong. There is no excuse for it. The logical explanation that people use - 'they are not real' cannot explain their own sexual attraction to depictions of diminutive characters who are being abused sexually. Of course it can't because like all lustful attractions logic cannot be used to explain them away - hentai fans (who like underage hentai) are attracted to underage sex. It's an issue they should sort out with a psychiatrist. When it comes to non-underage hentai we still see pictures of 'adult' or near-adult women being abused. It's not an erotic set of pics from an 'art' site but pictures showing abuse of defenceless women (sometimes men). LOL - anyway hentai is here to stay. I think that hentai seems to be made for different reasons. Some are ok, and some or not. Hentai which depicts rape is wrong. It isn't art, because rape IS evil, no matter how you sugar coat it. On the other hand, if you want to watch hentai which isn't abuse, that's your choice. But it should be kept away from children, and that's why it should be kept separate from anime. If you had a child, you wouldn't want them to see hentai, and unfortunately it's impossible to guarantee that if they like anime, they won't see hentai. Not everyone who makes a website is honourable in that respect. And THAT IS NOT OK. Parental programs do not keep out hentai - put "tomoyo" into google, with safe search on, if you want to know what I mean. And it's not just children - I personally don't want to see hentai, and if I'm looking for pics of Tomoyo or Sakura or whatever, I don't want to see some sad person's "art work" of them! They're 10 year old girls for god's sake! I think it is ok to want to see it and see it if you want to, but other people have a right to be able to completely avoid it too.

Hi Again, that was an excellent post made by Mazzie. You've hit the nail spot on. Hentai is disgusting especially the involvement of innocents like the mascot of this website. Definition of Freedom: My freedom starts where yours stops. Rape is when one of the partners does NOT consent. It's the most basic of freedoms to be able to choose to have sex, and to choose not to. Anthony, rape is a crime. Are you saying you condone rape? You could get put away for a serious length of time for committing it. You can't THINK rape is wrong, it is NOT an opinion. I didn't say hentai was wrong. RAPE hentai is wrong, because real rape is wrong. Child pornography is even worse, because then you have rape AND the abuse of an innocent, both which are very serious crimes. Hey everyone again, Daniel, I can see where you're coming from. Thank you for being civilised about this, I must apologize if I upset you, but I beg to differ. The people who I know as gay are mostly really happy individuals - of course they're not happy all the time (that wouldn't be natural) - but they don't seem all that different from straight people to be honest. Not all gay people are closet depressed, and if they ARE depressed, it's not purely caused by the fact they are gay. My best friend - who is gay - has had troubles in his past which I am not allowed to discuss here. They may have a lot to do with his darkest moments. He has trouble talking about them to people, and I understand that, because he is a strong and intelligent individual. He knows where he is, and he knows who his friends are, and I'll always be there if he needs someone to talk to. It's the same with all my friends. I'm not a bigot. I purposely talk about these things because I know there are people out there who have different views to me, and they have just as much a right to be heard as me. But I do believe that "truth" is a very different thing to "percieved truth", and it's the unbiased truth I'm going for, not one person's unbased and biased opinion, which I'm afraid shouts the loudest these days. I speak from experience, I know I'm not all-knowing, but I'm trying to see. Some people don't bother, they think that what they say is always true. The truth changes. But I see my friends, and I know they're happy with who they are. They have problems - I won't deny that - but so does everyone. They aren't depressed because they're gay. As I said before, the main reason why gay people appear to be depressed is the fact that every day they have to face opposition from people who mark them as mentally disturbed, or even evil, when in reality they don't even know who they are or the hurt they've caused. Do you say these things to your gay friends? What do they tell you? I would suggest that you go and talk to people - research isn't only in books, it's in people - and that's research you could never finish.
