Wednesday 31 March
Here are the updates from the past few days:
-Syaoran + Meilin mini sites are now frozen (they are open but no more updates)
-Updated the portfolio with new layout archives, pixel etc...
-The interviews have been closed (i'll be adding the last one soon- Chibi interviewed Kero)
-Added a notice to the fanwallpapers page: wallpapers must be computer screen sized (800/600 or 1024/768) sending me random images however gorgeous they are doesn't really count!
-Sakura magic by Jax is back (see affiliates)

To do list: (maybe up today or before the weekend)
-Add new wallpaper by Mayra (done)
-Add new interview by Chibi
-Add new fanfic chapter by Isaac
-Decide on oekaki staffs (either by deep choice or flip a coin) (done)
-Give out oekaki staff permissions and instructions (done)
-Finish new layout + matching awards/btns/splash

Tomorrow is April Fools, Sakura's Birthday and Mine too ^_^

Personal:
I'll be celebrating my birthday on Monday with my family as they are away during the week and the w/e is busy.
I've just swopped sleep medicines (Zopiclone to Ambien) so hopefully I'll sleep more during the night and be able to nap properly during the day (ie-less site work-sorry!)

Wednesday 24 March
The main updates are on shadow-wings.net (staff openings) i'm trying to get some help because there is a parse error somewhere in the new header php- when that's fixed all will be running ^^;; all the other pages work fine ^^;; took me ages to code and all ^^;;;;
I'm going to be concentrating my efforts on getting shadow-wings sorted out this week
It's my 21st bday on monday =p - I hate birthdays for some wierd reason, i'll get my therapist to find out why when i'm old and rich enough to have one- anyhow this years theme is randomness, as it's april fools too- feel free to do wacky things around the SLG network

Monday 22 March
-New Wonderful visitors
-Set up Chibi's CCS nametag maker
-Added new banner and btn links by Chibi (slight edit by me to the btn ^^)
-Went through the links page and deleted all broken links
-Did the oekaki weekly clean-up (deleting spam doodles, warnings on new unfinished doodles, new contests and challenge, collab rotation)
-Mazzie-chan gave me a lovely signature image ^_^
-The Citadel is on Hiatus (temporary I hope)

Saturday 20 March

-Working on SLG's new layout
If I'm offline or don't reply to emails for a few days please don't stress or worry, I've had some bad nights so I'm catching up on sleep.

Created a wallpaper for the DT wallpaper contest. I'm
so pleased with the way it has come out - it took over 3 hours to create.Inspired by Kat who sent a spring greetings card this morning. Poem from the Flower Fairies: Buttercup (I adore that book) « Click to download.
The original costume is the Purachina pink and blue but I colorized her dress and ribbons to be like a yellow flower.She also has blue eyes instead of green (for no good reason)

Spent the afternoon creating new PSP brushes <3 <3 <3
It's lovely to have time to create!
Notes:
1-Some are heavily edited from star logos and selfish font caps.
2-The background effect comes from the grunge swirl brush (most visible on the second set)
3-They are not for public release yet (like the wing ones) but if you really want an individual brush or two, email me to request it.(usual blurb: must give credit if you publish graphics made with it, no redistro etc...)
4-Set 1:5 brushes, set 2:7 brushes, set3:16 brushes
5-my faves are the grunge swirl + the darkstar (set three, long armed wavy star with circle in the middle)

<font color=red>Special Announcement:
Shadow-wings.net is offline at the moment because BURSTnet the company who host pinchpenny.org (my host) are currently having negotiation problems with cpanel. It would seem that even the big companies who own little companies who supply hosting to websites like us have their problems. From what i've gleaned, Cpanel people used to be friends with burstnet guys (they used to be colleagues) but things have gone sour and this adult playground fight has made hundreds of websites like shadow-wings.net go offline.
It's made the oekaki users mad and me miserable.No: Utterly and totally gutted: I have put so much work into the oekaki and shadow-wings: from the layouts, massive coding work, special features and tweaks to the practicalities of moderating, replying to questions, setting up the collab accounts and passing them on to the new users each time.
The oekaki seems cursed: the more effort I put into it, the less it works.And God knows how many hours i've put into that thing!
It's not my fault, I guess it's not pinchpennys either. It's hard to direct my anger at anyone.
I'm so upset because that little oekaki is my favorite web achievement, and also my most slaved over website and I -so- want it to be functional so the members can just doodle in peace!
So here's what's going to happen: as soon as the domain is back online and the FTP working
1- I download all pictures in the images folder, if your image isn't in their it never got saved in the first place so please don't get mad at me
2- I re-install the oekaki databases and if it doesn't work, i'll reinstall the whole thing from scratch.
3- If that doesn't work, I don't what what I'll do: that depends on the oekaki users.
*If they many get mad and start whining and being unfluffy. I'll drop the oekaki and they can all disperse to their own oekakis: I foolishly taught people how to host them on tripod, I even was soppy enough to explain how the top image hack was installed in detail - so you will probably find nice oekakis with almost as many originalities as mine because i'm one huge dumb doormat.
*If despite the downtimes, people still love shadow-wings and are sweet
I'll get the money back from pinchpenny, move the website to a new company that has no affiliation whatsoever with burstnet, reinstall it all and start work on those many new features I had dreamed of (graphic contests, tutorials, spotlight and interviews)

new Gb layout!I had an inspiration peak and it's fading but while i still had creative energy I redid the guestbook. I love Signmyguestbook.com, they have such lovely simple gbs to customize. In case you were wondering: I used stylesheets for everything- no extra html was added to the actual guestbook content. I used a div at 100% width in order to have the transparent scrollbar and the rare attributes: "overflow-x:0; overflow-y:auto" which are very handy for getting rid of a bottom scrollbar. It also uses percentages so as to adapt to bigger browser sizes (I design in 800*600).

-Fixed the media files (geocities refuse zip files now so i just unzipped them and uploaded the avi files). Thankyou to Takeru (via the gb) for letting me know they were not working!

-Added a challenge page to the oekaki- this weeks challenge is Beige from Morning Glory
-Added all 124 oekaki artworks drawn in the past few weeks to the museum and reinstalled the oekaki.It now works!
