Portoria: "Lagosta" ship and Ghost island - Fujitaka Kinomoto as a boy and Tanbaru (the Ryanban)
The voyagers land in the sea but are quickly picked up by a ship owned by Tanbaru who is friendly and kind unlike his Ryanban lookalike in the world of Koryo. Sakura and Fai become the ship's cooks, Kurogane joins the deck mates and Syaoran helps out in the engine room. He meets a young boy who is very good at mechanics. He seems familiar... when the boy puts on his glasses and presents himself as Fujitaka, Syaoran realizes that this is a young version of his father. He reminices about how his father was kind and gentle to him, appeasing all his fears.
In the meantime, Kurogane has not done any work... rather he's got the others to do it for him because he's the strongest fighter. Sakura, in her new role as cook, has prepared sushi.
A big storm hits the ship: Syaoran and Fujitaka are thrown overboard as laughing comes from the nearby island, it is said to be haunted by an angry ghost.
When the storm is over, they wake up on the island beach. Syaoran and Fujitaka explore the island and discover local artifacts which lead them to a hidden path and give them clues about how to cross through the ruins which lead to the other side of the island without coming to harm. They are spotted by the crew and picked up after Kurogane deals with a massive seamonster that lived around the island... The ghost story was only to protect people from the monster, the island is not haunted: the wind blowing through the ruins just sounds like singing and laughter.
As they leave, young Fujitaka explains to Syaoran that he has found his goal in life: he wants to become an archeologist.
